APN's Management
Mark
Plischke manages APN's daily operation. Mark is a lifetime resident
of Hawaii, who graduated from Aiea High School in 1981, and then continued
his education by earning a Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science
from the University of Hawaii at Manoa in 1986. Mark started in the security
industry in 1980 with Wells Fargo Alarm Services, as a Central Station
Dispatcher. Upon graduation from the U. of H., Mark was promoted to manage
both the Central Station and Service Departments. In 1990, Mark chose
to expand his overall security experience by shifting his focus from operations
to sales & business management. Mark brings a very diverse and thorough
background of electronic security technology, operational procedures,
detailed management and customer service skills to APN. It is this uncommon
diversity of abilities, an exceptional level of professionalism and thoroughness,
a unique concern and dedication to Customer Service, and over 2 decades
of experience that makes Mark Plischke one of the senior leaders of electronic
security in the state of Hawaii.

Steve
Van Ness manages APN's sales department. Steve, who was born in Galveston,
TX, was introduced to Hawaii via the United States Marine Corps. He was
stationed at Kaneohe Marine Corps Air Station as a CH-46 Helicopter pilot.
In 1986, Steve moved back to the mainland and started in the alarm industry
as a sales consultant with Emergency Network. He quickly excelled, and
was promoted to National Sales Manager, responsible for traveling throughout
the nation to build and motivate the company's sales force. In 1990, Steve
started Affordable Security. In the matter of a few years, Affordable
was nationally recognized as one of the most successful alarm companies
in America. Missing a slower, more relaxed lifestyle, Steve closed Affordable
Security to pursue a burning desire to return to Hawaii and raise his
family. In 1996, Steve relocated his wife and 4 children back to the Islands.
Steve brings the motivation, foresight, and management experience that
drives APN to be the leader of security for the families of Hawaii.

Employee Training
The training at APN is second to none. Each and every employee
that works in the field has gone through extensive classroom training,
they are tested, and then they are sent to the field to train under an
experienced technician as an apprentice. APN's technicians are driven

is being maintained. Among other things, the APN follow-up procedure means
that you will be guided through every step of the process from the initial

and feel we have developed an outstanding solution for when our customers
are in need. While most companies in the industry honor a 48-hour philosophy,
APN has always believed in a 24-hour service pledge. When you're dealing
with security, we feel there is no other way except speed and efficiency.
APN provides each and every customer with 24-hour phone numbers. Any time,
day or night, someone is available to assist you. You will never reach
an answering service, or have to leave a message on a machine. At APN,
we realize that security is a round-the-clock job. We are always available.

Customer Training
If you are confused about the operation of the equipment, then
the chances are either you will not use it, or most likely, there will
be a lot of mistakes made. We understand that at the time that the technician
is finishing the installation, all of the people that will be using the
system will not be present. We do not expect the customer to learn and
then explain the system on his own. Your sales consultant has the primary
responsibility to train you on the operation of your system. The instruction
manual, as well as other information will be left at every job explaining
in detail how to operate your system. We will set up training at a time
convenient for you, and if necessary, at different shifts, until we have
trained all persons that will be operating the system. Also, when a new
person is assigned and will need training, we encourage our customers
to call us and we will assist in the additional training.
